Why You May See a Prop 65 Warning
Proposition 65 is a "right-to-know" law that requires businesses to provide a warning if a product contains any of the 1,000+ chemicals identified by the State of California as potentially causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
It is important to understand that many of the substances covered by this law—such as heavy metals—are naturally occurring in soil, water, and plants. Even when using the highest-quality, sustainably sourced botanical ingredients, trace amounts of these elements can be detected.
